In light of the recent downturn in the economy along with the upcoming election, I decided to drop the price of the Obama Commemorative posters by 20 dollars. From now until the day of the presidential election the posters will be priced at $30. Also, up until election day, if you order an Obama poster you can choose ANY of the other posters (currently priced at $18) on the website and receive them with your Obama poster for only $10. Again, all of the posters are signed and numbered.

Who really cares? Your posters have terrible typography, it just looks like you’re ripping off ISO50 and Shepard Fairey at once.

    Then don’t buy one John.

I think he works somewhere called Moosylvania in Maplewood, Missouri. I checked their webpage but all that is up is a static splash page. It looks like they have won some awards locally though for advertising. I also tried to send him an email to send him some free posters to burn for heat over the long Missouri winter but his email bounced me back. So, it must not be his real email.

    Oh well.

Ah well. No reason to pass hatred down to some random internet stranger. People are more than entitled to their opinion. I don’t want this blog to turn into another negative nitpicking anonymous hater blog. There are plenty of those out there already. I would prefer to keep things positive. Like I said, he is more than entitled to his opinion. No reason to put him down.

Creative is a tough field. Actually producing design and creative that is intended to be marketed directly to other creatives and designers is even more difficult. They can be a picky angry crowd. You have to have tough skin and roll with the punches and just keep pushing forward trying new things and growing as much as you can.

Criticism taken. I will take it under advisement and work harder to do better and more interesting work. That’s all anyone can ever do.

you’re right, my bad. but i don’t think just because someone’s work isn’t the “next hot shit” that it’s garbage even if you are aiming for the “creative industry”. if something is well done, its just that.
