Graphic/Product Designer Rahel Ritchie has some nice work in his portfolio but a particular standout is a hoodie that features an inflatable hood to cushion your head like a pillow while you are on a plane or traveling in a bus. What a fantastically simple yet brilliant idea. I could really use one of those. I wonder if they have actually been produced and where you could buy one. I want one now.

That is an awesome hoodie concept – he should try to get those into production, although I would imagine that it would be difficult to design the hood insert so that it would be relatively easy to inflate/deflate while being difficult to pop.

He probably drew inspiration from this:

It has a removable inflatable pillow in the hood that is like a rounded log to fit around your neck. I usually leave the pillow out (if I’m not actually traveling) since it adds weigh and a bit of lumpiness to the hood.

Burton Snowboards made a similar hoodie with an inflatable neck ring and a cover you could pull out to cover your face.
