Alright, I will be the first to admit that I thought there was really no humanly possible way that the initial renders from Heatherwick Studio of the U.K. Pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo could ever plausibly be built in reality. It has however been manifested and it is a work of pure architectural mastery. I wish so much that I could see it and stand inside it. It looks absolutely amazing. I could describe the concept of the building behind which lies, in essence, a massive seed bank formed from 60,000 transparent fiber optic rods encasing one or more seeds at the tips. Instead of butchering the article in my words, you should do yourself a favor and head to Arch Daily and read about this true and meaningful work of art.
