Grain Edit is a new blog I’ve been frequenting, it’s focused on classic design work from the 1950s-1970s and contemporary designers that draw inspiration from that time period. Small Stakes is the screenprint and design studio of Jason Munn, who is know for his minimal and iconic gigposters as well as print work for many bands including Against Me and Death Cab For Cutie. 01/05 TENN SLURRY SPILL
On Monday morning Dec. 22 around 1:00 am, the earthen retaining wall around this mountain of coal ash failed and approximately 500 million gallons of nasty black coal ash flowed into tributaries of the Tennessee River - the water supply for Chattanooga TN and millions of people living downstream in Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky. Authorities are now reporting it could be closer to 1 billion gallons.

12/30 KILLER SANTA
A man dressed as Santa walked into his ex-in-law’s home in Covina, California and ruthlessly murdered 9 people including an 8 year old girl. Awful.

12/28 ISRAELI GROUND ATTACK
Fears are mounting of a follow-up ground assault by Israeli forces against the Hamas-run Gaza Strip. 307 are already reported dead after the strip was bombed and as many as 1,000 civilians including women and children are reported wounded.
