Pop Pop Bang

Comments Off on Pop Pop BangArt

“A collaboration between creative director Anna Burns and the photographer Thomas Brown. Through the use of various mediums the pair have curated an exhibition that explores the masculine world of B-Movies and juxtaposed it with the traditional British landscape. Using the themes of said movies – girls, guns and explosives – and twisting it against a very British backdrop these two challenge not only the premise of each subject but also the use of their chosen medias. The duo created a wall of umbrellas displaying elements of the classic B-Movie and located them within three landscapes – one being the forest, then London’s docklands and finally the grounds of Suffolk Manor house.”

Globosome FMX Trailer

Comments Off on Globosome FMX TrailerMotion Graphics

This is the trailer for Sascha Geddert’s next short film. Looks pretty sweet.

“In the vastness of space, there’s a a small speck of rock inhabited by the most peculiar lifeforms: Dark little dots that start to replicate fast and begin to show signs of intelligence. „Globosome“ tells the story of the rise and fall of these little creatures.

This film is inspired by the special times we’re living through on our own planet. We’re at the crossroads. The question is what makes humans actually different from bacteria in a petri dish. Surely we have culture, science and art but what does remain of these achievements if you look at our world from a global perspective. The Film will be released in Summer 2012.”

Technical Directors: Tonio Freitag, Patrick Schuler
Compositing Supervisor: Johannes Peter
Stereo Lead: Andreas Feix

Follow the Sun

Comments Off on Follow the SunAnimation

I missed this little diddy by MK12 for FITC. It’s pretty amazing if you visit the little micro-site for the piece and watch the making of and realize that they cell animated the piece. I am always impressed and amazed by motion shops that turn the key from 3d and After Effects into full on cell animation. It’s not an easy thing to do and MK12 did it in style.

If you love animated gifs then there is of course the tumblr blog of ‘Love Gifs‘ out there for you to visit. I know a lot of people think they are a completely ridiculous time waster, but hey so is looking at design porn for hours on end. And c’mon if you can’t have fun with the internet then go pick up like a book or something totally lame like that. I’ll be peepin’ some gifs, thank you very much.

Shine A Light

Comments Off on Shine A LightMotion Graphics

“A short film celebrating 50 years of Amnesty International Shining a Light on human rights issues through the power of letter writing. Created pro-bono by the Betterment Bureau, a department of Loyalkaspar inc”

It’s obvious that the Betterment Bureau cares deeply about what Amnesty International represents and didn’t hold back despite this being a pro-bono piece on pouring in all the passion they could muster.

Ryan Mast

Comments Off on Ryan MastMotion Graphics

Ryan Mast is a local Denver Motion Designer who we recently hired to work on a project. He is enormously talented and a really great guy. Two traits that make for a great person to have on a project. We really enjoyed working with him and are hoping to work with him again very soon. If you are looking for a local freelance talent in the motion design and 3D field, you can’t do much better than Ryan. Keep an eye out for him in the future, wherever he goes good things are sure to follow.

GMunk: Updates

Comments Off on GMunk: UpdatesMotion Graphics

It’s been an extremely long time since anyone heard from Bradley G Munkowitz and that’s because he spent the entirety of 2010 in the dark, up late at night constructing 12 minutes of holographic animation sequences for the movie Tron. It was a motion designers dream come true and he produced some truly phenomenal work for the film. He’s continued to be a force of nature in the industry and is often described as ‘crazy’ but ‘amazing’ by his peers but if you really want to know or understand his genius all you have to do is look through his work.

The Cosmopolitan: West Lobby

Comments Off on The Cosmopolitan: West LobbyMotion Graphics

“The West Lobby is a kinetic space, centered around 8 giant central columns wrapped with mirrors and LCD screens. Rockwell Group’s LAB installed 384 displays on the columns and 26 behind the registration desk to create a platform for a variety of customized immersive digital experiences in the space. Off this lobby is the dream-like Vesper bar with a ceiling covered in metal mesh to look like a cloud, and shimmering silvers and whites throughout the space.”

Beautiful result from this effort.
