Stockholm based illustrator Kilian Eng updated his Behance-folio once again with more magnificent 70’s/80’s retro-sci-fi-inspired imagery that employs the use of simple line art, imaginative color and even more imaginative scenery. Count me as a fan.
Swedish studio Kurppa Hosk is “an interdisciplinary brand and design consultancy creating attraction.” How great is that? ‘Creating attraction.’ That is a statement that needs to be capitalized on folks. Kurppa has some strong color use of color applied through minimal graphics within their portfolio. It’s classic international typographic style with a pop sentiment.
Magdalena Czarnecki is a graphic designer from Stockholm, Sweden and currently works as an Art Director for United Colors of Benetton’s COLORS Magazine, in Treviso, Italy. She has some clean and beautiful design happening throughout her portfolio.
Stockholm-based Brand, Design and Film agency Snask has updated their portfolio of work recently with some tasty new print and branding projects. It’s a colorful affair with an attention to the big picture spread throughout numerous materials created for each client.
Stockholm based Museum Studio has been busy and has been updating with some new and as always unique project work. I cut their two posters for the exhibit “It was on Earth that I knew Joy” at the SCION artspace in Los Angeles in half just two show how the two worked together. Like I said, very unique and always interesting work.
Stockholm based photographer Jenni Porkka has only been shooting professionally for 2 years but has already amassed an a long client roster including Zink, Kurv, Spex, Hint, Lush, Idoll, Glitterati, Glamcult, SVA, Leve and Fan The Fire just to list a few. It’s easy to see why with her eye for glamor and composition.
Andreas Pihlström has updated his sublime portfolio at Suprb with a new look and of course some excellent work but for some reason I was drawn to his ‘dynamic music video’ generated for his friend Alexi Delano’s track RUN-00. But to be honest, you can’t really go wrong with anything in Pihlström’s body of work.
Photo-artist Julia Peirone was born 1973 and currently lives and works in Stockholm. She is fearless with her camera painting introspective and contemplative imagery that she also translates into video and sculpture installations.
Fellow Designers is the work of Stockholm design duo Paul Kuhlhom and Eva Lijefors. They have quaint little studio where they can look right across to one another and maybe engage in the occasional stare down stand off.
Swedish graphic designer Daneil Carlsten recently left his job after 5 years at the creative collective Acne to venture out on his own. It looks as though he will do well by the measure of the wonderful work in his portfolio.
